Manufacturer’s DescriptionBack Cove’s latest outboard model, the 39O, is setting new standards for cruising outboard powerboats. Offering cruise speeds of 30 knots or more and low sound levels never before achieved in larger outboard boats, the 39O is leading the way in this new powerboat segment. Her hull design features Back Cove’s proprietary Trailing Edge Lifting Surface (TRELIS) which gets her on plane faster using less horsepower than other outboard designs. A unique companionway entry door opens fully to starboard and above the aft facing seat to port, so that these two essential spaces become one large social gathering area. On the helm deck, an inviting and comfortable u-shaped settee is found to port while her functional and fully featured galley is to starboard. Large, opening windows surround this elegant space. Forward and to port is a guest helm seat and to starboard a functional helm station features space for two large chart plotter screens. Her helmsman and co-pilot can enjoy long voyages in their comfortable helm chairs. The view forward is clear and free of glare thanks to small mullions, a black windshield liner, and a dark-colored helm pod. Below the helm sole is a large storage area for additional appliances or galley provisions. Descending the stairs to the open lower lounge, a settee is to port with a television on the bulkhead opposite. Below the salon is a two single-berth guest cabin with privacy curtain. The owner’s stateroom is forward and features an island queen berth with ample storage for the owner’s gear in the many drawers, lockers and convenient spaces. Overhead deck hatches and cabin side opening ports allow fresh air to flow though this inviting space. A large head unit with contemporary fixtures and a separate stall shower is to starboard. It offers private access from both the master stateroom and the lower lounge.
