Allied Marine, Inc., a Florida corporation and any affiliates/partners (hereinafter “Allied Marine”, “we”, “us”, “our” or the “Company”) is committed to protecting the privacy of Personal Data it collects and processes from you, customers, clients, employees, and vendors. Allied Marine will act in compliance with applicable data protection laws or regulations.

To better protect your privacy, the Company provides this Privacy Notice (the “Privacy Notice”), which describes how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store Personal Data in connection with the activities and services, including without limitation, access and use of the Allied Marine website (the “Website”), attendance of marketing events both online and offline (the “Events”), and for our account management (the “Account Management”, and together with the Website and the Events, the “Services”). This Privacy Notice describes your choices and rights related to the Personal Data we collect. Allied Marine is the controller for the personal data discussed in this Privacy Notice (collectively, the “Personal Data”).

1. PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
A. Personal Data We Collect Directly from You

When you use the Services, we collect a variety of information from and about you, your devices, and your interaction with the Services. Some of this information identifies you directly or can be used to identify you when combined with other data.

i. Website

As a visitor to the Website you may be required to provide us with your Personal Data such as:

  • Any other information you provide to us in contact forms (you will see exactly what information we collect from you by filling in the fields in the form).

If you register to attend Allied Marine or Allied Marine’s affiliate sponsored Events, we may require certain data, including:

  • Phone number
  • Street address
  • Date of Birth
  • Payment data
  • Purchase Data/History
  • Emergency contact (in some instances)
  • Dietary preferences (in some instances)
  • Billing information (such as billing name, billing address, and credit card number)
  • Any other information you provide to us in contact forms or via questionnaires at events (you will see exactly what information we collect from you by filling in the fields in the form).

iii. Account Management

We collect contact and other personal information for account management purposes and when you choose to use certain features of the Website, including, but not limited to: i) completing, submitting, receiving and signing forms, and ii) consenting to receive email. When you choose to use these features, we require you to provide your “Contact Information” in addition to other personal information that may be required to complete a transaction such as your phone number, billing and shipping addresses and credit card information. We will also collect any and all data that may be completed on the Forms. Occasionally, we may also request information such as usage preferences and demographics, which will help us better serve you and our other users in the future.

iv. Cookies, Web Beacons, and Other Similar Technologies

Allied Marine may use website tracking technologies to observe your activities, interactions, preferences, transactional information, and other computer and connection information (such as an IP address) relating to your use of our Website and Services. A. To Contact You

Allied Marine uses the data we collect about you to provide Allied Marine products, services, and support. For example, if you provide data to us in a “Contact Us” form, we will use your data to respond to the request.

Allied Marine uses your Personal Data and information about your activity on our Websites to contact you for marketing purposes in accordance with your marketing preferences, including telemarketing calls, and to send marketing emails that we believe may be of interest to you, such as product announcements, newsletters, educational materials, and details on upcoming events. We also use it to send administrative information, such as notices related to products, services, or policy changes.

B. To Plan and Manage Events

Allied Marine uses your data for Event planning and management, including registration, billing, and connecting with other event attendees, or to contact you further about relevant products and services. Any information you provide about emergency contacts or dietary preferences would be used for your safety and health purposes.

C. For Customer Service and Improvement Purposes

Allied Marine uses the data we collect to understand how our Websites, products, and services (including Maintenance and Repair) are being used and to make improvements. For example, we may solicit your feedback about your experience using our Website, attending an event, or a recent Service appointment and ways that we can improve.

D. For Security and Investigations

Allied Marine may use your information to diagnose website technical problems, as well as to prevent, detect, mitigate, and investigate potential security issues, as well as fraudulent or illegal activity.

E. To Personalize Your Experience

Allied Marine also may use your data to personalize your experience on our Website. Allied Marine or our service providers use website tracking technologies to display products, features, or content that are tailored to your interests and to present advertising on other sites. 3. DISCLOSURE OF DATA
A. Affiliates, Brokers, and Service Providers

Allied Marine may share data with its affiliates/partners and third-party service providers or vendors contracted to provide services on our behalf. These third-party service providers or vendors may use data we provide to them only as instructed by Allied Marine and in accordance with this Privacy Notice or applicable law.

B. Webinars, Events, and Other Activities Related to Allied Marine Offerings

Allied Marine may offer the following solely or jointly with third parties or partners: events, downloads, or other services related to Allied Marine products or services. We may share your contact information and interests in these offerings or services with these approved third parties to communicate with you about Allied Marine.

When you attend an Event (either sponsored by Allied Marine or one where Allied Marine is a participating vendor) and have your badge or similar document scanned, your data will be shared with Allied Marine, as well as with any partner or third party participating in that event, and potentially with the sponsors of the Events.

C. Additional Disclosures

Allied Marine may disclose your data if we have a good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal processes; (b) protect and defend our rights or property; (c) enforce the Website Terms and Conditions; and/or (d) act to protect the interests of our users or others.

If Allied Marine goes through a business transition, such as a merger, disposition or acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your Personal Data may be among the assets transferred.

Allied Marine does not sell Personal Data that we collect or process under this Privacy Notice.

Note: Allied Marine operates as a global business and may transfer, store, or process your Personal Data to Allied Marine affiliates in a country outside your jurisdiction. However, we have taken appropriate safeguards with respect to the protection of your privacy to ensure that these recipients protect and process your Personal Data in a manner that will comply with applicable regulations. Specifically, the transfer of your data is subject to appropriate guarantees, as the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, or other guarantees from these recipients that we considered adequate. D. Transfer of Information to the United States.

Allied Marine is based in the United States and you acknowledge that the information we collect is governed by U.S. law. By accessing or using the Services or otherwise providing information, including Personal Data, to us, you consent to the processing, transfer, and storage of information in and to the United States, where you may not have the same rights and protections as you do under local law.

E. International Data Transfers

Allied Marine operates as a global business and may transfer, store, or process your Personal Data to Allied Marine affiliates in a country outside your jurisdiction. However, we have taken appropriate safeguards with respect to the protection of your privacy, fundamental rights and freedoms, and the exercise of your rights.

F. Data Retention

Allied Marine will retain your Personal Data at least as long as necessary to fulfil the Services that you have requested, comply with applicable laws or regulations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Allied Marine may retain your data longer for a legitimate business interest where business benefit is not outweighed by your personal rights and freedoms. Data entered into an Allied Marine system is retained in accordance with any applicable agreement between Allied Marine and its customer.

Allied Marine or Allied Marine service providers may observe your activities, interactions, preferences, transactional information, and other computer and connection information (such as an IP address) relating to your use of the Website. We may collect and store this data and combine this data with other personal data provided to Allied Marine.

Allied Marine uses cookies and other similar technologies, such as web beacons, HTML5 Local Storage, local shared objects, tags, and scripts on our Websites and in email communications. We use these technologies to authenticate your access to various areas of our websites, understand your interests, analyze web traffic, combat fraud, provide interest-based advertising, improve our products and services as further described above in the “Use” section, and tailor content to your preferences. In emails we send, we may use these technologies to track their effectiveness.

Online advertising may use data collected about your web browsing behavior, such as the pages you have visited or the searches you have conducted. The data used for targeted advertising may come from Allied Marine or through third-party ad networks.

Please note that while you may opt out of targeted advertising on our Websites this does not opt you out of being served advertising. You will continue to receive generic ads.

4. YOUR RIGHTS OVER YOUR PERSONAL DATA

5. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

We will rely on our legitimate interests for processing Personal Data only after balancing our interests and rights against the impact of the processing on individuals.

C. Performance of a Contract

We do not guarantee that your Personal Data will not be misused by third parties. We are not responsible for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security features.

This Privacy Notice may be amended or revised from time to time at the sole discretion of Allied Marine.

Changes to this Privacy Notice will be posted on the Website and links to the Privacy Notice will indicate that the notice has been changed or updated.
