"Maranatha"
2007 Johnson 87' Skylounge Mini-Mega Motor Yacht
“Maranatha” is a beautiful example of Johnson’s 87’ Skylounge Motor Yacht. This 2-owner yacht has been meticulously maintained by knowledgeable yachtsmen since taking ownership in 2013. The J87SL offers more of a “Mega-yacht” feel compared with similar quality-built motor yachts of her time, this is in part because of the yachts 23’ beam, the smart interior design, combined with use of handcrafted cherry wood and sumptuous soft-goods which creates large, open and beautiful living spaces, pilot stations and staterooms.
A great feature on this J87SL is the main propulsion system which are twin Caterpillar C32 1652HP diesel engines with only 1450 original hours.

J87 Comments from Dixon Design Company
From Dixon Design Company – Johnson 87’ Motor Yacht comments The combination of groundbreaking design, high quality equipment, excellent workmanship and a real commitment to customer service make any Johnson a very attractive proposition and not surprisingly, many owners are on their second or third vessel from the company. There are two versions of the 87. For those who like the great outdoors, the flybridge version, and those who want protection from the elements and an extra saloon, the skylounge option. Whichever you choose, the 87 comes with many common features. Careful design of her wide beam hull gives a dry, stable ride, with a sea kindly motion made even better by the standard digital stabilizers. Ease of handling is assured with the hydraulic thrusters both bow and stern. Safety and comfort are enhanced by the wide, teak laid side decks, the substantial stainless-steel stanchions and guardrails, and deck fittings and rope handling equipment are all high quality, and carefully positioned. The tender lives on the spacious bridge-deck and is deployed by the yachts power rotation davit system.
Salon
The J87SL’s spacious salon serves as the yacht’s central lounge, dining, and entertainment center. Access into the salon from the after deck is via glass/stainless pneumatic sliding doors. Once inside you have a combination of new carpeting and wood flooring, sumptuous furnishings, large windows which bring in abundant natural light, TV/stereo entertainment system, beautiful dining table with 8X chairs and the yacht’s well-appointed galley.
A design feature of the salon/galley is providing access to the galley from either the main salon or the port side deck, so if the occasion arises that you might want to have a formal gathering or private meetings in the salon, you and the chef can both have privacy while meals are being prepared.
The salon also features a beautifully appointed day head that is located just past the formal dining area on the starboard side of the yacht in the passageway that leads you to the pilothouse access stairs and the on-deck owners suite.
Galley
The galley’s located in the forward port side of the salon with access from either the salon or private access from the port side deck.
